In-class activities. Primarily solving problems during class.
Colloquium Requirement
You will need to amass 5 colloquium credits over the course of the semester.
One colloquium credit is awarded for each one of the math department's colloquia you attend (and write about) and for each Problem of the Fortnight (as it appears in Hope College Mathematics Department Blog) for which you submit a correct solution.
Two credits are awarded for attending a mathematics conference or for preparing for and competing in a math competition.
Three credits are awarded for presenting mathematics at a conference or colloquium.
If you do not complete the colloquium requirement, then your grade will be lowered by one third of a letter grade (e.g. from B+ to B).
