Coverage |
A quick look at the course schedule should give you an idea of the main topics
of the course. You can also go to the
official course description.

Reading the Textbook |
Before class each day you should read the sections of the textbook listed
on the schedule for that day. You should also attempt all exercises in those
sections, unless instructed otherwise on the schedule.
In other words, all exercises are "suggested exercises". You will learn a lot more
by doing these exercises than by sjust reading.
Be sure the read the entire section(s) indicated, and do all of the exercises.
Each class will start with question you may have about what you read, including going
over any of the exercises you had difficulty with.
After clearing up any confusions, we will spend class discussing some of the
topics in more depth, seeing example programs, and writing new programs.
If you are not doing the assigned readings and exercises, you will not get nearly as much
out of the course as possible, and it is likely your grade will reflect that.
