For each chapter of the textbook we cover, there will be a homework assignment and a quiz. There will be no midterm and no final exam.
  • Pretest
There will be a pretest to get an idea of your background, but it will not count toward the final grade for the course.
  • Homework
There will be 6-8 homework assignments, which you are encouraged to work together on, although each student must do their own work. You must show all of your work.
All homework must be typeset using Word or a similar word processing application. You may include drawings by hand if necessary.
  • Quizzes
The quizzes will be on the days the homework assignments are due. The main purpose of the quizzes is to make sure you really understand what was presented in class, and to keep you honest in doing your own homework assignments.
  • Final Grading Scale
Here is the scale that determines the final grades.
All scores are rounded up at .5 and down at .49.
